About Block Joining
GKV AAC KONARK Block Joining Mortar is a pre-mipre packed Cemenitious adhesives forjoining the AAC blocks, it is cost effective and easy to use product with no curing required at site. GKV AAC KONARK block joining mortar is a Polymer based non shrinkable, self curing mortar material with premix of grey cement, graded sand and polymer for better binding properties.
Preparation & Application
- MORTAR MIXING: In a clean bucket, mix AAC Block Joining Mortar in 25-30% of water.
- MIXING BY MIXER :Mix first for 5-10 min by electrical mixer or hand mixer till homogeneorusly
- MORTAR REMIXING: Mix again for 2-3 minutes. Now thin bed mortar is ready to use.
- CLEAN SURFACE :Before applicationclean the surface of blocks using suitable tool like brush so that any foreign material is not held on the blocks.
- WET SURFACE: Wet the surface of blocks before applying mortar.
- MORTAR SPREAD: Should be spread AAC Block Joining Mortar with 3-4mm thickness.
- DND: Do not disturb the wall after application of mortar for at least 24 hours.
- SETTING TIME :The setting time is affected by climatic conditions, allow stand-alone accordingly.
Superior Bonding and Quick SettingThis block joining adhesive boasts strong bonding properties and a rapid setting time, making it ideal for high-speed construction. The initial setting takes just 30-45 minutes, with final setting complete within 2-3 hours. Its smooth paste consistency ensures uniform block alignment and minimum wastage, enhancing both work efficiency and end-product quality.
Easy Mixing and ApplicationManual mixing is recommended for this product, using a ratio of about 2.5 parts powder to 1 part water by volume. Applying the mixture in 3-5 mm thick joints guarantees optimal adhesion. The adhesive is easy to spread, resulting in neat and crack-resistant finishes that withstand rigorous construction demands.
Long Shelf Life and Safe StoragePackaged in secure HDPE laminated bags, the block joining compound offers a shelf life of 12 months when stored properly in cool, dry conditions. Its non-toxic and environmentally safe formulation makes it suitable for indoor and outdoor projects, supporting sustainable and responsible construction practices.
